Why I’m Grateful to Live (and Work) in North Dallas

Living and working in North Dallas has always been part of my story, but during weeks like Thanksgiving, I’m reminded just how grateful I am to call this community home. From Dallas to Richardson, Plano, Allen, Frisco, and Collin County, the neighborhoods I serve aren’t just places on a map, they’re places filled with people, memories, and a sense of connection that’s hard to find anywhere else.
Growing Up North Dallas: Where My Story Began
As someone who grew up in Richardson schools and knows these streets by heart, North Dallas isn’t just where I built a career, it’s where I built a life.
I’m grateful for:
-
The neighborhoods with character, from Prestonwood’s established charm to the tree-lined pockets of Richardson and the trail-filled communities across Plano and Allen.
-
The familiar places that feel like home, whether it’s a coffee run at San Martin, a holiday stop at NorthPark, or morning walks with my dogs around my character-filled neighborhood or along Prestonridge Trail.
-
The schools that shaped me, Big Spring, Apollo, Berkner, where community involvement is a way of life and families stay connected for decades.
A Community That Truly Feels Like Community
One of the biggest reasons I’m grateful to live and work here is the people. North Dallas families are passionate, engaged, supportive, and welcoming. You see it at school events, neighborhood holiday celebrations, local restaurants, and even open houses, yes, really!
There’s an authenticity to this area that I treasure. People know their neighbors. They support local businesses. They take pride in their homes. And they stay because they genuinely love it here.
Helping Others Find Home Is an Honor, Not a Job
Real estate isn’t just about transactions; it’s about guiding people to the next chapter of their lives. And helping families plant roots in the same community that shaped me is something I never take for granted.
I’m grateful for:
-
Every client who trusts me to walk beside them in one of life’s biggest decisions
-
Every referral that reminds me relationships matter more than marketing
-
Every story shared across a kitchen island during a showing
-
Every first-time buyer, every upsizer, every downsizer, every investor
This year especially, I’ve worked with so many families who aren’t just moving to North Dallas, they’re choosing it with intention. And that’s powerful.
Grateful for the Homes Themselves
North Dallas has such a unique blend of architecture and style, from mid-century homes filled with natural light (hello, La Manga!) to modern builds, classic ranches, and beautifully updated properties.
I’m grateful for a market that:
-
Offers truly diverse options for buyers
-
Holds strong even in shifting seasons
-
Attracts people who appreciate good design, neighborhoods, and lifestyle
Every home has a story, and I love helping people discover the one that fits their vision.
Looking Ahead With Gratitude
Even as the market evolves, one thing stays the same: my gratitude for this incredible corner of the Metroplex.
This community raised me.
It shaped who I am.
And now, I get to help others find their place in it.
What a gift.
